DAMBLAT VASCONIA ARMAGNAC XO

  • Ageing XO category
  • Cask Aged in black oak casks, following distillation in the Armagnac alembic on the estate

Signed Damblat, this XO Armagnac brings together eau-de-vie distilled exclusively in Bas-Armagnac and Ténarèze, on the estate of the Damblat and Havion families, established at Château d'Ayguetinte since 1859. Vinified and distilled on site using the traditional Armagnac alembic, it then rests in black oak casks until it reaches the maturity demanded by the XO designation. Bottled at 40%, it is presented in a mouth-blown decanter that underlines the artisanal character of the house. An elegant bottle, made for moments of sharing, ideal as a gift or to set aside carefully for an occasion worthy of it.

How it is made

Vinified and distilled on the estate using a traditional Armagnac still, aged in black oak casks. Presented in a mouth-blown glass decanter, this eau de vie is truly a precious find.

This Armagnac is presented in a hand-blown glass decanter. The Damblat & Havion families have been producing Armagnac at the château in the village of Ayguetinte since 1859. Surrounded by vineyards, the château has stood for centuries, having first been built by the Knights Templar in the 13th century. Deep within the château, in the dim stillroom, the gift of the vine, the art of master distillers and age-old secrets combine to create eaux de vie of the highest order. The distinctive continuous distillation and ageing in black oak casks yield Armagnacs rich in fruit aromas, full-bodied and complex.
