Drawn entirely from the 1972 harvest alone, this vintage was aged in the cellars of Château de Laubade, in Gascon pedunculate oak casks crafted on the estate. It was then bottled at the domaine, in Sorbets, at the heart of Bas-Armagnac.

Vintage good

1972 was a year marked by the tragedy of the Munich attack and shaken by the Watergate scandal, at a time of profound global change. In Gascony, far from the turmoil, the vine yielded a vintage of finesse and quiet elegance. Aged for more than five decades in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie have developed notes of hazelnut, beeswax and aged wood.
