DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 2002
- Ageing eau-de-vie from the 2002 harvest, bottled after several decades of ageing in the cellars
- Cask aged in Gascon oak casks at the Armagnac Delord cellars in Lannepax
The 2002 vintage from Armagnac Delord is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, distilled and then slowly aged in Gascon oak casks in the family cellars at Lannepax, in the Gers. On the nose, it hints at caramelised pear, soft wood and a touch of dried fruit. The palate is supple and rounded, with dried fruit, gentle vanilla and a hint of pepper. It lingers into a finish that is harmonious and persistently warm. Bottled at 40% vol., this vintage Armagnac is presented here in a 70 cl bottle, equally suited to unhurried sipping or as an exceptional gift.
Serve with best enjoyed as a digestif, neat in a tulip glass, or paired with a cigar, dark chocolate or a dried-fruit dessert
