CASTARÈDE ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1967

  • Ageing 53 years in cask, bottled in 2020
  • Cask Oak

Castarède kept the 1967 harvest in oak casks for fifty-three years before bottling it in 2020. In 2026, fifty-nine years separate us from the vintage. This is a single-year eau-de-vie, unblended, for which the house has published tasting notes, reproduced here. Founded in 1832, Castarède is one of the oldest houses in the appellation, recognised as an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant. The vintage is bottled at 40% vol. and presented in a 70 cl bottle with its gift box.

The Gascon harvest of that year yielded eaux-de-vie that, after nearly six decades of ageing in oak casks, display a silky character, balanced between candied prunes and gentle vanilla sweetness.
