BARON DE SIGOGNAC ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1967
- Ageing until the bottling date shown on the back label
- Cask oak from the Limousin forest
- Grape varieties Ugni Blanc or Baco
- Terroir tawny sands
- Distillation continuous Armagnac-type still
The eau-de-vie in this bottle comes from the 1967 harvest, grown on tawny sands from Ugni Blanc or Baco, and distilled in a continuous Armagnac-type still. It spent decades in Limousin oak casks before joining the collection at Château de Bordeneuve, where Baron de Sigognac keeps each year separate. Fifty-nine years have passed since the harvest: an anniversary sometimes marked quietly, on the eve of the sixtieth. The house only fills its bottles to order, which leaves the Armagnac in cask until the last moment; the bottling date is printed on the back. 70 cl bottle, in a wooden box.
