Sempé Armagnac Vintage 1948

A 1948 harvest takes its place in the great collection of vintages of the house of Sempé, begun in 1934 in Aignan, in the Gers. Successive cellar masters select, for each year, casks faithful to the founder's triptych: perfume, roundness, length. This bottle is intended for people born in 1948, or for a couple married that year, who wish to mark a date with a personal gift. This 70 cl Bas-Armagnac is 40% vol. It is presented in a Milady bottle and supplied in a case.

The year 1948

1948 was a year of reconstruction and hope, marked by the Marshall Plan in Europe and the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations. In Gascony, the vines yielded a harvest that, after nearly eight decades of ageing in Gascon oak casks, carries the depth and nobility characteristic of these post-war vintages.
