Sempé

Founded in 1934 in Aignan, in the heart of the Gers, by Abel Sempé, Armagnac Sempé has been ageing its eaux-de-vie in Bas-Armagnac for nearly a century. A member of the Resistance, mayor of Aignan and later senator, its founder never stopped promoting his brand around the world.

He left the house a guiding principle in three words, which successive cellar masters keep in mind when selecting casks: aroma, roundness, length. The house is now a member of the Club des Marques.

Armagnac Sempé: our selection in the shop

At Sempé, you can choose an Armagnac by its age or by its vintage. The blends range from Blanche d'Armagnac, never aged in cask, to age statements of 6, 12, 15, 18 and 21 years, with a Hors d'Âge and an XXO for sipping. All are offered in 70 cl, at 40% vol.

The great vintage collection has been growing every year since 1934, the year the house was founded. Each vintage comes from a single harvest, under the Bas-Armagnac AOC, presented in a Milady bottle and supplied in a case: a simple way to give the year of a birth, a wedding or an anniversary.
