Dartigalongue Armagnac Vintage 1988
This Bas-Armagnac vintage 1988 from the family house Dartigalongue, bottled at 42% vol. in a 70 cl decanter, opens on a nose revealing candied fruits, sandalwood and prunes. On the palate, the attack is fairly rounded, with notes of dried fruits, leading to a taut and distinguished finish. This vintage is also available as a single cask expression according to the domaine's website. Patiently aged in oak casks at the heart of Bas-Armagnac, this 1988 is best enjoyed as a digestif, slowly, to savour all the work of time.
