LAUBADE ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1998
- Cask Pedunculate oak from Gascony, 420-litre casks
Summer 1998: France won its first Football World Cup, and in the Gers the harvest was being prepared. This Laubade vintage was distilled grape variety by grape variety at Sorbets, then aged in 420-litre Gascony oak casks. The estate describes it on plum and candied fruits enveloped by the wood, with a smooth, rounded palate underlined by notes of toast and vanilla. Bottled at the château, in 70 cl at 40% vol.: for those born in 1998, or as a memento of that summer.
