DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1974 MAGNUM 150 cl

  • Ageing eau-de-vie from the 1974 harvest, bottled after several decades of ageing in the cellar
  • Cask aged in Gascon oak casks in the cellars of Armagnac Delord at Lannepax

The 1974 vintage from Armagnac Delord is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, distilled and then aged for many decades in Gascon oak casks in the family cellars at Lannepax, in the Gers. The nose reveals smoky notes with hints of peat, a lightly evolved woodiness, and accents of spice and liquorice. On the palate, the entry is smooth and rounded, with complex notes of spice (pepper, ginger, clove) and rancio. Bottled at 40% vol., this vintage Armagnac is presented here in a 150 cl magnum, ideal for a special tasting or as an exceptional gift.

How it is made

Continuous distillation in the traditional Armagnac style: column stills fitted with "spider-leg" plates, ideally suited to the production of aged Armagnacs. Matured in new French oak casks (heavy char), then finished in "semi-exhausted" to "exhausted" barrels.
