MILLET ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 2005 POT GASCON 250 cl

  • Ageing Vintage 2005, single-harvest eau-de-vie, aged in oak casks on the estate
  • Cask French oak casks, aged in the cellars of Château de Millet until bottling
  • Grape varieties Baco and Ugni Blanc

This 2005 vintage Bas-Armagnac from Château de Millet, presented in a 250 cl pot gascon, is an eau-de-vie from a single harvest year, vinified and distilled on the estate by the Dèche family, who have been grower-producers in Eauze for five generations. This vintage appears in the domaine's 2026 price list, though the house does not publish tasting notes for this particular year: we do not invent them. It reflects the same expertise as the commented vintages, bottled at 42% vol. and aged in oak casks. The vineyard is managed according to sustainable farming practices, certified Haute Valeur Environnementale at level 3. Each vintage is available in 20 cl, 50 cl, 70 cl, magnum and 2.5 l pot gascon, with a wooden gift box as an option.

Vintage medium

2005 will be remembered for the legendary Champions League final in Istanbul and the launch of YouTube. In Gascony, the vines yielded a fresh and expressive vintage. After two decades of ageing in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie display a youthful, fruit-forward profile, with notes of flowers and fresh fruit, and are still very much evolving.

How it is made

Vinified and distilled on the estate using a traditional Armagnac-type alembic, then aged in oak casks: artisanal production of the highest quality. For five generations, the Dèche family, as estate growers and distillers, have been producing an Armagnac from their own vines that is consistently recognised by the specialist press, both in France and abroad.

The vineyard stands on the green rolling hills to the north-west of Eauze, the capital of Armagnac, where sandy-clay soils alternate with the sandy soils known as «sables fauves».
