The 2005 from Dartigalongue opens on notes of caramelised fruits and citrus zest, with a hint of roast. The palate is fairly rounded, bringing exotic notes of coconut and vanilla; the house sees in it a fine balance between fruit and tannins. This is a still-young vintage, best enjoyed in a tulip glass without waiting too long. A single-harvest eau-de-vie is always rare: this one makes a perfect gift to mark a birth, a wedding or an anniversary from 2005. Presented in a gift box, 70 cl bottle.
