Sempé Armagnac Vintage 1947

A Bas-Armagnac harvested in 1947, from the great collection of vintages that the house of Sempé has been building since its founding in 1934 in Aignan, in the Gers. For each year, the cellar masters select casks that respect Abel Sempé's triptych: aroma, roundness, length. It makes a natural gift for anyone born in 1947, for a birthday or a wedding anniversary tied to that year. The 70 cl Milady bottle, at 40% vol., comes in its presentation box.

The 1947 Vintage

Vintage exceptional

1947 is universally recognised as one of the greatest vintages of the 20th century for French wines and spirits. The summer was exceptional, marked by intense heat and well-managed drought conditions that yielded grapes of extraordinary concentration and ripeness. The eaux-de-vie drawn from that harvest now display a remarkable depth and aromatic richness.
