Sempé Armagnac Vintage 1956

The 1956 harvest is intended first for those born that year, or for couples married in 1956 looking for a wedding anniversary gift. This Bas-Armagnac belongs to the great collection of Sempé vintages, built up since 1934 by successive cellar masters, attentive to Abel Sempé's triptych: aroma, roundness, length. It is 40% vol., in a 70 cl Milady bottle, and comes in its case, ready to give.

The Year 1956

Vintage Difficult

1956 is remembered in viticultural history as a year of severe ordeal: the cold wave of February froze vines down to the wood across a large part of the French vineyard. The yields of the subsequent harvest bore the mark of this damage, and several years were needed before certain plots returned to full production.
