DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1960
- Ageing Eau-de-vie from the 1960 harvest alone, aged in oak casks
- Cask Oak casks, in the house's cellars at Lannepax (Gers)
In 1960, the Delord Frères house was still run by Gaston and Georges, the sons of Prosper, who had founded it at Lannepax in 1932. This eau-de-vie comes from that year's harvest, distilled and then aged without ever being blended with another year. It is the oldest vintage in our Delord selection. At the time, the French were discovering the new franc, which had come into force on 1 January. A 70 cl basquaise bottle, 40% vol., presented in a wooden case: a fitting choice for the 66th birthday of someone born that year, or for a connoisseur of very old eaux-de-vie.
Serve with Neat, or with a cigar, a chocolate dessert or an arabica coffee, as the house suggests
