Dartigalongue Armagnac Vintage 1967
- Ageing 1967 vintage, a single harvest
The casks used to age Dartigalongue's eaux-de-vie are sourced from local coopers, mostly in Gascon oak, and the house credits them with the generous, indulgent character of its armagnacs. This 1967 vintage matured in that wood. The nose, very subtle, combines spices, old casks and caramelised apple. On the palate it is lively: the tannins are more pronounced, liquorice comes through, then a fruity note returns on the finish. Presented in a 70 cl bottle with a gift box, it marks a birth or a wedding anniversary celebrated in 1967.
