Dartigalongue Armagnac Vintage 2001
- Ageing 2001 vintage, a single harvest
The 2001 vintage from Dartigalongue is recognisable by its nose of caramel and sandalwood, lifted by a hint of currant. On the palate, notes of roasted almonds and candied fruit; the house describes it as fairly round, with a medium-length finish. This is an approachable vintage, well suited to introducing single-year Armagnac to a Cognac or whisky lover. It comes from a family house in Nogaro, in the Gers, which has been ageing its eaux-de-vie since 1838. Its gift box makes it a simple and thoughtful present for someone born in 2001, or a couple who married that year.
