CHARLES DE GRANVILLE CALVADOS 1976
- Cask oak
Calvados with a controlled designation of origin, distilled from cider of the 1976 harvest and aged in oak casks. A Norman apple spirit from a single year.
Serve with best enjoyed as a digestif
A beautiful golden colour with amber highlights. On the nose, a true fruity symphony unfolds, where notes of stewed apple and honey mingle with delicate aromas of cinnamon and vanilla, all wrapped in gentle spice. Refined and elegant on the palate, with a long, generous, fruit-forward finish.

1976 saw one of the most remarkable droughts of the century, with the months of April through August exceptionally dry and hot across the whole of France. A summer of such intensity concentrates the sugars and brings an early harvest; in Gascony as elsewhere, this year remains a strong climatic reference point, even though its precise character for Armagnac has not been the subject of any specific documentation found to date.
