Sempé Armagnac Vintage 1934

1934 is the year Abel Sempé founded his house in Aignan, in the Gers: this vintage therefore carries the same number as the history of the house. The great collection of Sempé vintages was built from this date, guided by the founder's triptych of perfume, roundness and length. Here is a bottle to give to someone born in 1934, or to slip into the cellar of a collector attached to the spirit of the house. This 70 cl Bas-Armagnac, at 40% vol., is presented in a Milady bottle and delivered in a case.

The year 1934

1934 was a year of contrasts, marked in cinema by Jean Vigo's L'Atalante, a masterpiece of French poetic realism, and on the pitch by the Italian World Cup. In Gascony, the vines of that year yielded a harvest that has since become rare, aged for over nine decades in oak casks and now approaching its centenary.
