Sempé Armagnac Vintage 1942

A 1942 harvest, for those born in 1942: a birthday gift that carries their birth year. This vintage joins the great collection of the house of Sempé, based in Aignan, in the Gers, since 1934, where each year is chosen from among the casks for its aroma, roundness and length. This 70 cl Bas-Armagnac, bottled at 40% vol., is presented in a Milady bottle and delivered in a case, ready to be given for a major family occasion.

the vintage

The year 1942

1942 was one of the darkest years of the Second World War, with France under German Occupation. Despite requisitions, shortages and constant danger, the winegrowers of Gascony continued to harvest and distil, preserving their ancestral craft. The eaux-de-vie born from that harvest have carried, for more than eight decades, the memory of that resilience.
