JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1942
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1942 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask Large-grain oak, medium toast
- Distillation Continuous
In November 1942, German troops invaded the free zone, which included the Gers. That year, the Gascon harvest was continuously distilled by Jean Cavé, then aged in large-grain oak casks. The cellar master has kept it for the brut de fût range, where each eau-de-vie is offered at its own cellar strength: here 42.4% vol. This vintage has undergone no blending whatsoever. Olympe decanter, wooden arch presentation: a bottle for a family date or a collection dedicated to the war years.
