BARON DE SIGOGNAC ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1942
- Cask Limousin oak
- Grape varieties Ugni Blanc or Baco
- Terroir tawny sands
- Distillation continuous Armagnac-type still
This eau-de-vie comes from the 1942 harvest, gathered in the middle of the war in the Gascon countryside, on a soil of tawny sands. Made from Ugni Blanc or Baco, it was distilled in a continuous Armagnac-type still, then aged in Limousin oak casks. It belongs to the reserves of Château de Bordeneuve, near Eauze, where the Baron de Sigognac vintages are kept one by one. In 2026, eighty-four years separate the harvest from the tasting. A bottle for an 84th birthday, or for a collector drawn to difficult years. 70 cl format in a Cognac-style bottle, 40 % vol., filled to order with the bottling date on the back, presented in a wooden box.
