Sempé Armagnac Vintage 1945

A 1945 harvest is meant first of all for those born that year: finding one's vintage in the glass remains a rare gesture. Sempé, a house founded in 1934 in Aignan, in the Gers, has made this collection of vintages its signature, seeking out for each year casks that meet the triptych of its founder: perfume, roundness, length. This Bas-Armagnac bottle, in 70 cl at 40% vol., takes the Milady shape and comes in its case. A natural gift for a birthday, a major family occasion or a collector's cellar.

The year 1945

1945 will be remembered as the year of Germany's surrender on 8 May and the founding of the United Nations from the ashes of the world conflict. In Gascony, the vineyards returned to their rhythm in a country rebuilding itself, and this Liberation harvest, aged for more than eight decades in Gascon oak casks, retains the memory of that pivotal year.
