JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1945
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1945 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask Large-grain oak, medium char
- Distillation Continuous
The war in Europe ended on 8 May 1945. That autumn, in the Gers, the harvest of peace yielded the wine that Jean Cavé distilled in a continuous still, then laid down in large-grain oak casks at medium char. This vintage has remained unblended, with no other years added. The house presents it in an Olympe decanter with a wooden arch display case. This is a bottle of memory as much as of tasting: for someone born that year, a wedding anniversary, or a family tribute.
