Sempé Armagnac Vintage 1959

A 1959 harvest makes a ready-made gift for people born that year, or for weddings celebrated then. This vintage joins the great collection that the house of Sempé has been building since 1934, in Aignan, in the Gers. For each year, its cellar masters select the casks capable of yielding mature eaux-de-vie, faithful to the founder's triptych: aroma, roundness, length. This 40% vol. Bas-Armagnac comes in a 70 cl Milady bottle, supplied in a case, ready to be given.

The year 1959

Vintage grand

1959 was a year of defining ruptures, marked by General de Gaulle's establishment of the Fifth Republic and Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution. In Gascony, the vines yielded a vintage of fine elegance that year. After more than six decades of ageing in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie now display a remarkable aromatic distinction.
