1959 was a year of defining ruptures, marked by General de Gaulle's establishment of the Fifth Republic and Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution. In Gascony, the vines yielded a vintage of fine elegance that year. After more than six decades of ageing in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie now display a remarkable aromatic distinction.
