DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1966 MAGNUM 150 cl

  • Ageing eau-de-vie from the 1966 harvest, bottled after several decades of ageing in the cellars
  • Cask aged in Gascon oak casks at the Armagnac Delord cellars in Lannepax

The 1966 vintage from Armagnac Delord is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, distilled and then aged for many decades in Gascon oak casks within the family cellars at Lannepax, in the Gers. On the nose, it reveals richness, stewed fruits, dried flowers and vanilla. The palate is frank and opens onto rancio notes, leading to a lingering finish marked by spice. Bottled at 40% vol., this vintage Armagnac is presented here in a magnum of 150 cl, equally suited to leisurely tasting or as an exceptional gift.

How it is made

Traditional vinification to produce an aromatic wine, lightly acidic and low in alcohol. Continuous distillation in the classic Armagnac style: column stills fitted with "spider-leg" plates, ideal for crafting aged Armagnacs. Matured in new French oak casks (heavy char), then finished in "semi-exhausted" or fully exhausted barrels.
