DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1966
- Ageing eau-de-vie from the 1966 harvest, bottled after several decades of ageing in the cellars
- Cask aged in Gascon oak casks in the cellars of Armagnac Delord at Lannepax
The 1966 vintage from Armagnac Delord is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, distilled and then aged for many decades in Gascon oak casks in the family cellars at Lannepax, in the Gers. The nose reveals rich aromas of stewed fruit, dried flowers and vanilla. The palate is frank and direct, with characteristic rancio. A long finish rounds things off on notes of spice. Bottled at 40% vol. in a 70 cl bottle, this vintage Armagnac is equally suited to leisurely sipping or to giving as an exceptional gift.
Serve with best enjoyed as a digestif, neat in a tulip glass, or paired with a cigar, dark chocolate or a dried-fruit dessert
