Sempé Armagnac Vintage 1967

The 1967 vintage belongs to the great collection that the Sempé house, based in Aignan, has been adding to since 1934. Year after year, the cellar masters select the casks that respect the founder's triptych: “perfume, roundness, length”. This bottle is intended for those born in 1967, to give for a birthday or to keep in the cellar. This Bas-Armagnac is 40% vol., comes in a 70 cl Milady bottle and is supplied in a case.

The year 1967

1967 was a year of global tension, marked by the Vietnam War and China's Cultural Revolution, while in France a generation was quietly laying the groundwork for the May 68 uprising. The Gascon harvest of that year yielded eaux-de-vie that, after nearly six decades of ageing in oak casks, display a silky character, balanced between candied prunes and gentle vanilla sweetness.
