A magnum placed at the centre of the table is meant to be shared: it is the format for anniversaries where there is a crowd. This one contains the 1974 harvest from the Dèche family, honoured in 1998 with the Prix du Président de la République at the concours des grandes eaux-de-vie d'Armagnac. Le Figaro Vin described it as both warm and elegant; the domaine's own tasting notes speak of oak-aged aromas on the nose, followed by a balanced, liquorice-laced and lightly spiced palate with a fine, generous amplitude. The 150 cl magnum, at 42% vol., comes presented in a wooden gift box to match its stature.
