MILLET ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1974
- Ageing Vintage 1974, single harvest, aged in cask until the dated bottling shown on the label
- Cask French oak casks, aged in the cellars of Château de Millet until bottling
- Grape varieties Baco and Ugni Blanc, Bas-Armagnac grape varieties grown on the estate's sandy soils at Eauze
- Awards Prix du Président de la République 1998, Concours National des Grandes Eaux-de-vie d'Armagnac
In 1973, Francis Dèche settled at the estate with his wife Lydie, after completing his agricultural studies. The 1974 harvest was therefore one of his very first, distilled at Eauze and then left in cask until the bottling date shown on the label. In 1998 it received the Prix du Président de la République at the Concours national des grandes eaux-de-vie d'Armagnac. The estate describes an elegant nose marked by barrel ageing, a clean attack, followed by liquorice and gentle spice. For someone born in 1974, these 70 cl at 42% vol. come presented in a wooden gift box.
