Sempé Armagnac Vintage 1981

Here is a Bas-Armagnac from the 1981 harvest, drawn from the great vintage collection that the house of Sempé has been building since 1934 in Aignan, in the Gers. Its cellar masters select, for each year, the casks capable of yielding a mature eau-de-vie, true to the founder's triptych: fragrance, roundness, length. It is a fine idea for someone born in 1981, or to mark a wedding anniversary celebrated that year. It is bottled at 40% vol., comes in a 70 cl Milady bottle and is delivered in its case, ready to give.

The year 1981

Vintage grand

1981 will be remembered as the year François Mitterrand was elected President of the Republic, while across the Atlantic the music channel MTV was born. In Gascony, the vines yielded grapes of fine ripeness. These eaux-de-vie, aged for nearly half a century in Gascon oak casks, have reached their full expression, with notes of candied prunes, dark chocolate and gentle spices.
