DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1981
- Ageing Eau-de-vie from the single 1981 harvest, aged in oak casks
- Cask Oak casks, in the house cellars at Lannepax (Gers)
1981 is the year of the first TGV between Paris and Lyon, and for many couples the year of their wedding: forty-five years on, they celebrate their coral wedding anniversary. This Bas-Armagnac comes from that single harvest, distilled at Lannepax when Jacques and Pierre were running the house. The house tasting notes describe a refined nose of soft spices (cinnamon, ginger) and light tobacco, fine tannins, notes of butter and a very long finish. Basquaise bottle, 70 cl, 40% vol., presented in a wooden case.
Serve with Neat, or alongside a cigar, a chocolate dessert or an arabica coffee, as the house suggests
