DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1992 MAGNUM 150CL

  • Ageing eau-de-vie from the 1992 harvest, bottled after several decades of ageing in the cellar
  • Cask aged in Gascon oak casks at the Armagnac Delord cellars in Lannepax

The 1992 vintage from Armagnac Delord is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, distilled and then aged for many years in Gascon oak casks at the family cellars in Lannepax, in the Gers. The nose is highly aromatic, with notes of vanilla and oak, finishing on a hint of cinnamon. The palate reveals the tannins imparted by the long ageing, which remain present and contribute notes of grain. Bottled at 40% vol., this vintage Armagnac is presented here in a 150 cl magnum, ideal both for leisurely tasting and as an exceptional gift.

The 1992 vintage

The 1992 vintage seduces with its deep amber colour and golden highlights. The nose unfolds aromas of dried fruits, apricot, quince and prune, with notes of tobacco and leather that carry through on the palate in perfect harmony with the nose, a mark of the fine balance acquired over years of ageing.

How it is made

Traditional vinification to produce an aromatic wine, lightly acidic and low in alcohol. Continuous distillation in the classic Armagnac style: column stills fitted with "spider-leg" plates, ideally suited to the production of aged Armagnacs. Matured in new French oak casks (heavy char), then finished in semi-seasoned or fully seasoned barrels.
