Sempé Armagnac Vintage 2005

A 2005 harvest bottled by the house of Sempé, founded in 1934 in Aignan, in the Gers, which thus enriches its collection of vintages. For each vintage, the cellar masters select the casks capable of producing mature eaux-de-vie, true to the founder's triptych: perfume, roundness, length. It is a fine idea for a birth in 2005, a birthday or a wedding celebrated the same year. The Milady 70 cl bottle, at 40% vol., is supplied in a case, ready to be given as a gift or kept for a special occasion.

The year 2005

Vintage medium

2005 will be remembered for the legendary Champions League final in Istanbul and the launch of YouTube. In Gascony, the vines yielded a fresh and expressive vintage. After two decades of ageing in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie display a youthful, fruit-forward profile, with notes of flowers and fresh fruit, and are still very much evolving.
