Sempé Armagnac Vintage 2009

The 2009 vintage joins the great collection of the Sempé house, founded in 1934 in Aignan, in the Gers, which grows richer with one harvest after another. The cellar masters select the casks that honour the founder's triptych: aroma, roundness, length. It makes a fine gift for a birth in 2009, a birthday or a coming of age, or to complete a series of vintages. This Bas-Armagnac comes in a 70 cl Milady bottle, at 40 % vol., delivered in its case.

The year 2009

Vintage medium

2009 will be remembered as the year of Barack Obama's inauguration and Usain Bolt's world record in the 100 metres at Berlin. In Gascony, the vines yielded a fresh and expressive vintage. Aged for around fifteen years in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie offer a young, fruit-driven profile, with notes of flowers, fresh fruit and gentle spice.
