This Clés des Ducs 2009 vintage is an eau-de-vie from a single harvest year, never blended with any other. Whatever the character of the year, the cellar master selects his casks to achieve an Armagnac that is long, rich and smooth, with deliberately restrained oak. Presented in a 70 cl Exception bottle and cardboard gift box, it is bottled at 40% vol. A ready-made gift idea for a birth, a wedding or an anniversary from the year 2009.

2009 will be remembered as the year of Barack Obama's inauguration and Usain Bolt's world record in the 100 metres at Berlin. In Gascony, the vines yielded a fresh and expressive vintage. Aged for around fifteen years in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie offer a young, fruit-driven profile, with notes of flowers, fresh fruit and gentle spice.

The story of Clés des Ducs begins in 1774 in Panjas, in the Gers, with Paul Baylac, lord of the village, who distilled its first eaux-de-vie. Since 2008, the house has been owned by the Groupe Armanoir, which upholds a craft built on traditional Gascon grape varieties, with Ugni Blanc at the fore, alongside Baco, Folle Blanche …
