DELORD ARMAGNAC 20 YEARS D'ÂGE
- Ageing Blend, 20 years old
- Cask aged in Gascon oak casks in the cellars of Delord in Lannepax
- Grape varieties a blend of the four traditional Armagnac grape varieties: Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Baco and Folle Blanche
For their 20-year-old, the house of Delord blends eaux-de-vie of which the youngest is twenty years old. Their website describes an elegant nose with pastry notes of vanilla, brioche and almond, which carry through to the palate alongside cinnamon and dried apricot. This is also the 20-year-old featured in the house's Coffret Découverte, sitting between the 10 and the 30-year-old. Bottled at 40% vol. in a 70 cl bottle, it is a fine starting point for discovering the Delord style, crafted in Lannepax since 1893.
Serve with Neat, or with a cigar, a chocolate dessert or an arabica coffee, as the house suggests
