LABALLE ARMAGNAC RICH 12 YEARS 50 cl
- Ageing Aged a minimum of 12 years
- Cask Black Landes oak casks
- Grape varieties 80% Ugni Blanc, 20% Baco
With a minimum of 12 years of age and 44.2% vol., Laballe Rich embodies the balance of a Bas-Armagnac that has reached full maturity. The blend of Ugni Blanc and Baco, aged in black Landes oak casks, develops a nose of candied orange, honey and cedar, lifted by a hint of liquorice. On the palate, it reveals itself as broad, rich and powerful, carried by notes of candied fruit and honey in which the oak integrates with gentleness, through to a long finish of hazelnut. Distilled in the estate's copper pot still, wood-fired since 1947, it is best enjoyed neat or slightly warmed, as a digestif, for a quiet and considered tasting moment.
