CASTARÈDE ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1995

  • Ageing 25 years in cask, bottled in 2020
  • Cask oak

A quarter of a century in cask: Castarède aged its 1995 harvest for twenty-five years in oak before bottling in 2020. In 2026, thirty-one years separate the harvest from your glass. This is a single-vintage eau-de-vie, unblended, brought to 40% vol. Castarède, founded in 1832 and recognised as an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, presents it in a 70 cl bottle with gift box. A wonderful choice for someone born in 1995 celebrating their 31st birthday.

In Gascony, the vines yielded a sunny, generous vintage that year. Aged for three decades in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie offer a fruity, approachable profile, with notes of ripe fruit and vanilla.

How it is made

Our House allows its Armagnacs to age well beyond the periods required by law, in pursuit of a rare refinement. For more than 180 years, first in the chais at Pont de Bordes on the banks of the Baïse, then at Château de Maniban, a Bas-Armagnac estate, the Castarède family has lovingly kept alive a singular expertise in the service of Armagnac. Their commitment and passion for Armagnac have never wavered, and the water of immortality has preserved the enthusiasm of their eternal youth.
