This Armagnac comes from the vintage collection of Marcel Trépout, whose house traces its origins to Château Notre Dame and whose reserves go back far into the 20th century. Harvested in 1962 and aged in a French oak cask, it is presented in a 70 cl bottle, at 40 % vol., under the Armagnac appellation.

Vintage grand

1962 was a year of intense international tension, marked by the Cuban Missile Crisis and Algerian independence. Far from those upheavals, the vines of Gascony yielded a vintage of fine ripeness and elegance. Aged for more than six decades in oak casks, these eaux-de-vie have developed a silky, complex profile, with notes of candied prunes and gentle spice.
