DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1964
- Ageing Eau-de-vie from the 1964 harvest alone, aged in oak casks
- Cask Oak casks, in the house cellars at Lannepax (Gers)
For several years, Delord featured their 1964 prominently on their website, in a short selection of vintages, with these words: an eau-de-vie that surprises with its notes of mushrooms, woodland, damp earth and spice. This is the register of very old armagnacs, more forest than fruit. The harvest was distilled and aged at Lannepax without any blending, shortly after Jacques Delord took over the house. Sixty-two years on, it is presented at 40% vol., in a basquaise bottle of 70 cl with a wooden case. A fine choice for a 62nd anniversary, or for the curious enthusiast drawn to these cellar-like aromas.
Serve with Neat, or alongside a cigar, a chocolate dessert or an arabica coffee, as the house suggests
