JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1964

  • Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1964 harvest alone, unblended
  • Cask Coarse-grain oak, medium toast
  • Distillation Continuous

In October 1964, Tokyo hosted the first Olympic Games held in Asia. In the Gers, the house of Jean Cavé then distilled that year's harvest, which became this vintage at 42% vol. It contains only that single harvest, aged in oak casks. The house presents it in the Olympe decanter, housed in a wooden arch that makes it a natural gift for someone born that year or for a wedding anniversary. Best enjoyed neat, without rushing.

In Gascony, the vines yielded a vintage of notable elegance and finesse. After more than six decades of ageing in Gascon oak casks, these eaux-de-vie offer a refined profile, rich in nuances of dried fruit and vanilla.

Over the years, the house has assembled one of the most remarkable co…
