The powerful nose of this 1975 vintage immediately reveals prune and rancio, those aromas that only long years in the cask can impart. The colour is amber, bright and clear. On the palate, the attack is clean and balanced, with rounded tannins that are well-defined and of excellent quality; the finish lingers and leaves an impression of roundness and smoothness. Like all the eaux-de-vie from Danis, it has never been reduced with water: it is bottled at its natural strength of 47% vol., here at Castelnau d'Auzan, in the Gers.
