Distilled from the 1990 harvest, this eau-de-vie spent exactly thirty years in oak casks at Castarède before being bottled in 2020. Castarède, founded in 1832, first ages its eaux-de-vie in new casks for structure, then in older ones for roundness and complexity. A single harvest, unblended, at 40% vol. Thirty years in oak, the span of a generation: a fine reason to offer this vintage to someone born in 1990, with a simple story to tell. 70 cl bottle presented in a gift box.

1990 was a year of liberation and reunification, marked by Nelson Mandela's release from prison after twenty-seven years and the reunification of Germany. In Gascony, that year's harvest yielded spirits with a fruity, well-balanced profile, now aged for more than three decades in Gascon oak casks, with notes of dried fruits and vanilla.
