Sempé Armagnac Vintage 2003

The 2003 vintage joins the great collection of the house of Sempé, which has grown with each harvest since 1934 in Aignan, in the Gers. The cellar masters select for each year the casks that respect the founder's triptych: aroma, roundness, length. This Bas-Armagnac from the 2003 harvest is meant for people born that year, for weddings celebrated in 2003, for the anniversary of a couple married that year, or for any cellar looking for a specific year. It is bottled at 40% vol. in 70 cl, in a Milady bottle delivered in a presentation case.

The 2003 vintage

Vintage exceptional

2003 will forever be remembered for the hottest summer France had seen in centuries, with a heatwave that pushed temperatures beyond 40°C across the South-West. These extreme conditions gave rise to grapes of a concentration and ripeness rarely achieved in Gascony. An exceptional vintage, whose spirits today display roundness and generosity, somewhere between candied fruit and honey.
