BARON DE SIGOGNAC ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1927
- Ageing 1927 vintage, aged until the bottling date indicated on the back of the bottle
- Cask Limousin oak
- Grape varieties Ugni Blanc or Baco
- Terroir land of tawny sands
- Distillation continuous Armagnac-type still
In May 1927, Charles Lindbergh flew from New York to Paris non-stop. A few months later, the Gascon harvest, on land of tawny sands, yielded the eau-de-vie in this bottle: Ugni Blanc or Baco, distilled in a continuous Armagnac-type still, then aged in Limousin oak casks and kept ever since in the collection of Château de Bordeneuve. Baron de Sigognac does not blend its vintages: each year keeps its own character. In 2026, ninety-nine years have passed since the harvest, one year short of a century. The 70 cl bottle is filled to order, with its bottling date on the back, and delivered in a wooden box.
