JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1927
- Ageing Vintage: eau-de-vie from the 1927 harvest alone, unblended
- Cask Oak casks, aged in the house cellars at Lannepax (Gers)
In May 1927, Charles Lindbergh flew from New York to Paris non-stop, alone at the controls of the Spirit of St. Louis. That autumn, the Gascon harvest yielded the wine that Jean Cavé distilled and laid down in cask. The eau-de-vie from this harvest has remained apart from any blending. It stands as a testament to the patience of a family who, since establishing themselves as distillers and cellar masters, have assembled a collection of vintages spanning more than a century. A perfect choice for a pilot, an aviation enthusiast, or someone born that year.
