DELORD ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1981
- Ageing eau-de-vie from the 1981 harvest, bottled after several decades of ageing in the cellars
- Cask aged in Gascon oak casks at the Armagnac Delord cellars in Lannepax
The 1981 vintage from Armagnac Delord is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, distilled and then aged for many years in Gascon oak casks in the family cellars at Lannepax, in the Gers. The nose is refined, with aromas of warm spice (cinnamon, ginger) and light tobacco. The palate plays on fine tannins, with notes of butter and spice that leave a remarkably long finish. Bottled at 40% vol., this vintage Armagnac is presented in a 70 cl bottle, equally suited to quiet contemplation or as an exceptional gift.
Serve with best enjoyed as a digestif, neat in a tulip glass, or paired with a cigar, dark chocolate, or a dried fruit dessert
