JEAN CAVÉ BAS-ARMAGNAC VINTAGE 1981

  • Ageing Vintage: single-harvest eau-de-vie from 1981, unblended
  • Cask 'Gros grains' oak, medium toast
  • Distillation Continuous

Jean Cavé presents this 1981 at 40.8% vol. It is a single-harvest eau-de-vie, continuously distilled and aged over many years in the cellars of Lannepax, with no blending whatsoever. According to the house, the old oak casks give the eau-de-vie the time it needs to develop the full depth of its aromas. The Olympe decanter and its wooden arch make this a beautiful bottle to give for a birth that year, or to mark a 1981 wedding anniversary celebrated with family.

These eaux-de-vie, aged for nearly half a century in Gascon oak casks, have reached their full expression, with notes of candied prunes, dark chocolate and gentle spices.
